Veteran's Day Weekend

What is Veteran's Day?
On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918, an armistice between Germany and the Allied nations came into effect, known as Armistice Day. This day was originally intended to honor veterans of WWI. In 1954, after having been through both WWII and the Korean War, the veterans service organizations urged Congress to change the word "Armistice" to "Veterans." Congress approved this change and on June 1, 1954, November 11 became a day to honor ALL American veterans, where ever and whenever they had served! If Veterans Day falls on a Sunday, many businesses and schools are closed on Monday, November 12th.

Although I've been pretty sick for the past few weeks (hence, no exciting blog posts), I decided to take it easy and still go to a few places this weekend:

Location: Bowlmor Lanes at The District
Prices on Friday night: $8 per person per game/ $5(?) for shoes

Took my brother out to dinner and bowling- my sister joined us after she got off work!

Roger's Garden... Love everything about this place!
