SAG AWARDS

In the midst of our busy lives, came the Hollywood SAG Awards
Beautiful people, beautiful dresses, vintage inspired hairstyles, and a whole lot of paappaaraazzii!

I've picked out a few of my "best" and "worst" dressed stars: and the drumroll please...
"BEST DRESSED"
Jennifer Garner in Oscar de la Renta gown, Naomi Watts in Marchesa gown, and Jennifer Lawrence in Dior Haute Couture
(All photos from: US WEEKLY)
Amanda Seyfried in Zac Posen fishtail dress
Was on the fence about this one... but I decided I liked it
Jaimie Alexander in Marc Bouwer gown
Katrina Bowden in Badgley Mischka

"BEST DRESSED AWARD" goes to Naomi Watts
"Worst Dressed"
Sorry Michelle Dockery, but side boobs aren't trendy
Anne Hathaway in Giambattista Valli
Morena Baccarin in Basil Soda gown
Shaun Robinson in Rani Zakhem gown
Jane Lynch in David Mesier gown
Julianna Margulies
Julianne Moore in Chanel dress (sorry Chanel PR)

"WORST DRESSED AWARD"
Kelly Cuoco blending in with the carpet in Romona Keveza dress

I have to say... I was pretty disappointed that there were a lot more worst dressed celebrities at the SAG Awards 2013 than I expected
Better luck at the Oscar's?

#TakingBackThursday

Been getting into making custom orders lately and as I was making these rings, I couldn't help but sing CeeLo Green's "Fuck You" song back from way back when.. Haha cheesy, I know.
Well, as you might've guessed already: these rings are up for sale now!

“Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life”- Confucius

So simple, so meaningful, so TRUE
Confucius couldn't have said it better... In today's society, so many of us (including myself) are worried about what "best jobs" are available for us... What other people will think of that role... How much money the job makes... TRUE. All of these do matter to some extent, but none of those should be the basis of what you choose your career path to be. As the quote simply states, if you choose a job you love, you will never have to work a day in your life. If you love what you do, you would not mind waking up at the crack of dawn to do it. If you love what you do, you would be proud to tell others about it. If you love what you do... other people's thoughts shouldn't phase you.
Yeah yeah, this post can quickly turn into a life lesson kind of a thing, but sometimes... it's nice to hear these words. To me, they are words of reassurance that... well, we are all unique and those unique qualities are what makes us so special :)

My point is: Take risks- go after what you love-
Live the life you have always imagined!
"All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them"- Walt Disney

Anyways, here are some new ring additions!

DIY Project

Hi world :) - Today was filled with a lot of errands and DIY projects! I spent the night in, making some cool rings and a few bracelets.... I think I've found my new hobby! It does take some time and patience to learn the craft, but it's super fun once you get the hang of it. I'm thinking of making more stone+wire jewelry, any advices? requests? comments? To those who actually read my bloooooggggg, I'd love to get some feedback :)

Anyways, it's already 2AM here... I'm going to try to catch some sleep (my sleeping schedule's been way off these days)!
Meanwhile, scroll down and check out what I did:
Yay or nay to the black bedside table?
Was close to purchasing this today to match the black frame on my bed!

Denim-on-Denim: 90s Fashion Revival

From the runways to the streets, there's been more and more 90's denim-on-denim looks. This trend is fairly easy to do, especially since almost everyone has a pair of jeans and/or a jean jacket in their closet.
TIPS:
Don't be afraid to be monochromatic (that's what the trend is all about)
Add a pop of color to break up the proportions
Think 90's slouchy boyfriend denim
Add green accessories- double points- emerald is the color of the year!
Want extra credit? Try wearing an overall.... "Oh, the 90's"
Elizabeth and James Bruce Silk-Crepe Blazer
3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli Satchel
Madewell Denim Boyfriend Shirt
Current/Elliott Boyfriend Jean
Elizabeth and James Marti Flat Mules
Alexander Wang Marte Oxford
Alexander Wang Ingrid Croc-effect Leather Brogues

Healthy mind, healthy body

Blogging, whether it is for an intended audience or for myself, has been a fun hobby in the making. Constantly reminding myself to capture "moments worth remembering" has been a little difficult at times (due to my forgetful nature), but I think I've been getting pretty good at it. With January still being the "beginning of the year," I bought myself some new products to try out. One new resolution I came up with recently is to have a healthy mind and a healthy body... meaning: workout more, take care of my body/ face, and light a candle and listen to more music (aka RELAX).
*Nike Air from Dick's Sporting Goods*
*Purchased from Sephora*
Favorite so far: SUGAR tinted lip treatment- by Fresh
(Aloha Orchid is a little too strong for my sensitive nose, but the Goji Tarocco Orange candle is heavenly. I'd say it's the perfect blend of fruity scents! I've been eyeing the monogram mug and the Voluspa candle for awhile, so I finally decided to bite the bullet and buy them!)
*All 3 purchases are from Anthropologie*
