San Diego Pt. II

I realized that my blog is quickly turning into a food blog... but oh well, food is a big part of my life wherever I go!

Tonight we ate at a restaurant called the Oceanaire Seafood Room in Gaslamp - probably one of my top favorite restaurants of all time now! The service was super fast, the food was above and beyond my expectations, and the ambience was great! It's a little bit of a dressy atmosphere, with a $15 valet fee (take a taxi if possible) but definitely worth it. Make sure to make a reservation ahead of time if you want to come here (very popular according to YELP)!

Here are a few pictures from tonight's dinner:
The Seafood Tower
Ecuadorian Corvina Louis
Topped with jumbo lump crab meat & Caper beurre blanc
Cheesy bacon au gratin potatoes & sautéed mushrooms
Sauteed Mexican Mahi Mahi
With carmelized pearl onion broth, sweet potato spoon bread stuffing, and pea tendril salad
Seafood Mixed Grill
With Grilled tombo, shrimp, scallop & baked stuffed shrimp with Tomato chive butter
Pan Seared Boston Scallops (my favorite)
With green apple risotto, passion fruit & bacon chutney
16 Oz. Double Bone Pork Chop
Baked Alaska Process:
The Restaurant Interior

Hope you all have a great NEW YEARS EVE!

SAN DIEGO BOUND

Spending the weekend in San Diego- Gaslamp District!
We booked a room at the Hyatt and it's been great so far- great service, clean room, and an even better view. Tomorrow we will be going to see the Chargers vs. Raiders game at the Qualcomm Stadium. I'll be on the Chargers side, but secretly rooting for the Raiders. Anyways, it should be a good time! Here are some pictures so far:

Rainy drive- en route to SAN DIEGO
The view from our room
Snagged a photo of this beautiful bride's dress!
Sally's is right next to the Hyatt in Seaport Village by the water. The service was alright, but the food was delightful. Everything from the crab cakes to the steak was mouthwatering!
Corn Chowder
Crab cakes
Ribeye Steak
Lobster! (bad quality picture)
Seaport Village (pretty touristy but cute nonetheless)

Hope you all have a HAPPY New Year!

In the Christmas Spirit

I had a great Christmas with my family and friends (the best gift of all)! We spent the morning making breakfast and opening presents, of course. But the BEST part of my Christmas was just being with the people I love. After opening presents with my family I went over to my boyfriend's and spent the afternoon/ evening at his parents and grandparents house. Below are some photos from Christmas!
^ Max hanging out in his favorite spot... being happy
Random but.... Once I got back home, I decided to reorganize my closet :)
Love when everything is right where it's supposed to be.

Hope your Christmas was as great as well!

Christmas Eve

It's crazy thinking that today is already Christmas Eve (and already Christmas in other parts of the world)! I spent the weekend last minute Christmas shopping, eating/ baking, watching movies (the Hobbit) and spending time with my boyfriend's family/ relatives.

Food I ate:
Which Wich: Overwhelming amount of choices for customized sandwiches
Cheesecake Factory:
My personal favorite- Thai Lettuce Wraps
Coffee with marshmallow gingerbread man and peppermint chocolate dipped spoon

 (SOME) Products I purchased:

^ Present for Dad (Art of Shaving)
^Present for mom (Nespresso)
^ Present for younger brother (Nike+ Obey)
I purchased the OleHenriksen truth serum, hoping that it'll help my skin feel more refreshed and prevent future "aging." It was also highly rated and recommended by Sephora. So far-- I've been breaking out, but I'm hoping that it's because my skin just needs time to get used to it.

Places I've been:
Fashion Island
Super FESTIVE neighborhoods:

Overall, it was a weekend filled with happiness and laughter! I can't wait to see what this week will bring.... I have to do a little more shopping tomorrow morning and then going to a restaurant called the Rusty Pelican with my family tomorrow evening. I'll post after to keep you all updated!

Happy Holidays!!
