Where the grass is green and the girls are pretty

Paradise city...
I went on a hike yesterday afternoon with my friend Stephanie in Crystal Cove, CA. The weather was perfect: not too hot and not too cold with a light ocean breeze brushing through our hair. It's moments like these when I'm reminded what a blessing it is to live by the beautiful beaches that surround the California coast.

GRAMMY AWARDS 2013

The Grammy Awards, previously known as the Gramophone Awards, is the night where all of Hollywood's most seasoned music artists hope that their name appeared on a piece of card. This card, read by the announcers, reveals who has "made it" in the music industry

Winner or loser, stars put on their A game when attending the Grammys.
In my opinion: If you dress the part, you are already a winner :)

NYFW- Fall 2013 Street Style

Yes, it's that time of the year again!
New York Fashion Week '13 and then the Grammy weekend
One of my favorite things to do during every Fashion Week is to check out the various outfits that stylists, editors, bloggers, and other fashion enthusiasts wear! Unfortunately, I was unable to make it out to New York this year for the NYFW (although I'm slightly glad that I'm not stuck in #nemo), so I have been scoping out the amazing street style to make up for it :) Here are some of my favorite pics below!

Overall, there has been a lot of black/white contrasting colors, polka dots, stripes, neons, and fur!

Valentine's Day Outfit

To go along with my previous post on Valentine's Day gift ideas, I decided to show you all what I think is a great Valentine's Day outfit!
1. Yigal Azrouel- Cropped snakeskin embossed white lamb leather jacket
(I worked with Yigal's fiancé Laura Vidrequin over the summer at Harper's Bazaar and it was really interesting to see a "newer" designer brand take off and learning a little more about the designer himself)
2. Hervé Léger- red bandage dress (very flattering)
3. Jimmy Choo- gold heels (always a good idea)
4. YSL patent leather Belle de Jour clutch in black
5. Custom name wire bracelet from www.wethehatters.com

Love is in the air

With Valentine's Day rolling in, I've created a gift guide for your loved ones! Whether it's your girl/boyfriend, family members, or best friends, there's always someone worth giving a gift to...
...Even if it's "just because"

For the ladies:
www.wethehatters.com Valentine's Day/ friendship jewelry!
Equipment pajama set
Tibi peplum shell top
Cards from Paper Source (the best)
Diptyque Red Tubereuse candle
Jo Malone red roses diffuser
Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb (Limited Edition)
Deborah Lippman nailpolishes and lipstick
Victoria's Secret lingeries
Valentino rockstud patent leather ballerina flat
Tory Burch Iphone case
Cartier "love" ring
Smythson "I love you because..." notebook
Celine red luggage tote
Louboutin hardcover book

For the gentlemen:
Beats by Dre
Emporio Armani watch
Outdoor gear
Ski/ parasailing/ skydiving/ weekend getaway trip
Red chucks
Adidas red cap
Salvatore Ferragamo wallet and belt
Swedish House Mafia/ Lakers tickets!

I generally recommend sport/ concert tickets (if they're into that), or a fun weekend getaway! Gifts can be nice, but making memories that will last a life time is sometimes better (and more fun).
Include a disposable camera with the gift to capture those moments worth remembering! :)

If on a budget, it's always OKAY to make a DIY gift :)
Just remember to be thoughtful, creative, and appropriate!

Back to basics

Black + white
What a great combination of such contrasting colors.
Some may think that these two colors look too "formal" when worn together, but I beg to differ. These colors speak power, independence, and bold yet classic fashion... Not to mention, TRENDY (always).

I put together a collage of black and white outfits/ photography:
Who said girls can't wear menswear tuxedo inspired clothes?

P.S. Check out www.wethehatters.com ! My new site LAUNCHED TODAY!
